Why free conference badge templates stop short

A free template feels like a quick win. You design the badge, and it looks great. Then the real questions start. How do I add every guest’s name? What happens to the long ones? How do I print this? That’s when one badge becomes hours of manual work.

Questions, answered

What is the Conference Name Badge Design Kit?

A conference badge template kit for PowerPoint and Google Slides. It turns one badge design and your guest list into print-ready front and back pages for every guest.

Is this just a badge template pack?

More than that. It starts with professionally designed badge templates, then turns your guest list into a full badge set, with text fitting and print-ready front and back layouts.

Do I need PowerPoint?

No. Design in PowerPoint or Google Slides. If you use Google Slides, download your design as a PowerPoint file before you upload it.

What do I need to use the kit?

A laptop or desktop computer with an internet connection. Your badge design in PowerPoint or Google Slides, and your guest list as a CSV. A printer, or a print shop, to print your badges.

How many guest badges can I create?

You can create up to 300 guest badges from one guest list. If you have more than 300 guests, split your list and run the remaining guests through again.

Do I need to check every badge?

Yes, before you create the print layout. Any badge that needs a second look is flagged, so you know where to start. You have the final say before anything is printed.

Can I print the badges myself?

Yes. The kit creates layouts for home or office printing, including trim marks. Test one sheet before printing the full run.

What does my print shop receive?

Send your front PDF, back PDF if you created one, and the downloadable print brief. The brief captures the badge size, quantity and finishing details your printer needs.

Can I use the kit again for another event?

Yes. It is a one-time purchase, with no per-event or per-client fees. Use it for your own events, client events or any other event work.

What happens to my guest list and artwork?

Your guest list, artwork and badge files are deleted 48 hours after each PDF is created. Download your PDFs within that time.

What happens if I need help?

The kit includes step-by-step guidance and Help content for common issues. If you still need help with the kit, email support is available.

Do I need design experience?

No. Start with a professionally designed layout and tailor it with your logo, colours and event details. The guided workflow takes you from guest list to print-ready pages.

Can I use my organisation’s font?

Usually. Google Fonts work as designed, and many other fonts work too. If we need to use a close match, we’ll show you first. If we can’t match it, we’ll ask you to choose another font.
